Q ~ What is unique about the V-Light Extensions you choose to offer?

A ~ V-Light Lightweight Hair Extensions are expressly created for fine and thinning hair and can leave you looking 10-20 years younger with more and healthier hair, and even with Highlights if you want them! (non-damaging/non-chemical)

A ~ Most other hair extension lines are for women whose hair is already thick, so they can easily hide and support the bulky plastic and metal closures or the thick hair wefts used for their hair type.

Q ~ How are the V-Light Lightweight Extensions different from other companies?

A ~ V-Light Extensions are perfect for fine and thinning hair because they provide a nearly invisible bond and a one-to-one application method. There is no bulk, so you can't see them or feel them, and they also don't pull on your fragile hair. Other methods are too visible, especially on the partline, at the hairline, or in any areas of thinning hair.

Q ~ Are V-Light Extensions suitable for clients with hair loss due to Alopecia, Postpartum Hair Loss, Menopausal Hair Loss, or Chemotherapy?

Yes!

A ~ Alopecia (V-Light Extensions can conceal small alopecia spots by being placed around the affected area).

A ~ Postpartum/Menopausal Hair Loss (V-Light Extensions won't damage shedding hair and will shed along with the natural hair it's attached to).

A ~ Chemotherapy-induced alopecia (V-Light Extensions are best used after completion of chemotherapy and once hair regrowth begins).

Q ~ How long will the V-Light Extensions last me?

A ~ They can last up to 6-8 weeks when you take care to maintain them properly.

A ~ For extra long-lasting extensions (10-16 weeks), we can double-bond your V-Light Extensions in the thicker, hidden areas of your head at a higher price point.

Q ~ Can I still use shampoo and conditioner, or still use styling products when using heat with V-LIght Extensions?

A ~ Yes, maintaining V-Light Extensions is simple. Just don't pull or comb your hair hard, be careful to avoid heat, and don't apply shampoos, conditioners, or styling products with sulfates, silicones, oils, or alcohols directly on the attachment point of the extensions, but only along the length of the strands.

(Clients are advised not to rough up their hair, nor allow it to get tangled, as we may not be able to optimally retrieve as much of each strand for your extensions move up. You can make sure your hair is dry before you go to bed, utilize a silk pillowcase or hair cap, or put your hair in two large braids.)

Q ~ How much hair can I expect to be used for my Extensions service?

A ~ The amount of hair used depends on your current situation and your desired results. Some clients only need their hairline or their partline filled in with a one-to-one strand application method. Other clients need more/larger areas covered

Q ~ Do V-Light Lightweight Hair Extensions cost more than other lines?

A ~ V-Light Hair Extensions are priced similarly to most lines; by charging for both the Hair used (quality/length/amount), and for the service time & technique.

Q ~ How much can I expect to pay?

A ~ The fees are charged by the length of the strands used, and either by the piece ($50/strand) if only a few are needed, or by the area

(Avg: Bangs $200-$300 /Crown $300-$450 /Side of head $300-$450

Full Head $1,200-$2,500 / + up to $4,500 for longer/thicker applications.)

A ~ Maintenance after 6-8 weeks (Avg: Bangs $100 / All other sections $250+ per area, depending on the head size and amount/length/thickness of the Extensions applications).

A ~ Maintenance for extra long-lasting extensions (10-16 weeks), where we have used the double-bond method, your V-Light Extensions in the thicker, hidden areas of your head, will be at a higher price point.

Q ~ Can the hair strands that I've already paid for in my extensions be reused?

A ~ Yes, we maintain your Extensions by using a patented removal tool and removal fluid after the initial 6-8 weeks of wear (the removal fluid is essential oil-based and does not harm the hair). Then, we trim, move, and apply the V-Light Extensions back up the hair shaft as your hair grows in length. We suggest pre-scheduling your Extension move-up along with your next HairCut service.

Q ~ Do the V-Light Extensions take longer to install compared to other methods (sew-ins, weaves, wefts, K-tips, HBI - hidden beads installation)?

A ~ V-Light Extensions installation takes roughly 30 minutes to 1+ hour Per Area, depending on the amount of hair needed Per Area and the size of the head.

Q ~ Is the V-Light Bonding safe for the eyes, lungs, hair, and scalp?

A ~ The UV light is very safe - it uses a UVA emitting LED light at 395nm, which is approved by the FDA for medical use and poses no risk to skin or eyes (we use it correctly with the protection shield). The LED curing device also doesn't generate much heat, ensuring a comfortable experience for clients.

A ~ The bonding agent is bio-sourced drops of sodium stearate, a photoinitiator, and ethyl cyanoacrylate (like a low/thin-viscosity super glue).

We keep the salon well ventilated, and you can choose to wear a mask if the scent bothers you (only 8 seconds per strand).

Q ~ Are Organic hair products better than other professional products & color?

A ~ Yes, we think so as they delicately cleanse hair without stripping natural oils, they restructure and strengthen weak, compromised hair, and they protect the hair against further damage and split ends.

Q ~ When using Hair Color, how do I avoid damaging my hair?

A ~ Avoiding chemicals, ammonia, and preservatives that are unnecessary, damaging, or fail to benefit the hair or scalp. Organic Hair Color, Developers/Activators, and Bleach are effective, gentle, and eco-friendly.

Q ~ How long does Organic hair color last?

A ~ Organic color can be permanent (stays in the hair until removed) or demi-permanent (lasting about 8 weeks, depending on how often and with what products you shampoo and condition).

Q ~ Who makes the best Organic Hair Color?

A ~ We use two Organic Hair Color lines: OWay

Organic Way, and O&M - Organic & Mineral.

Each of these Organic Color lines is the most eco-friendly, healthy, and healing color that we know of and have used for the hair & scalp, with zero ammonia and the purest forms of essential oils and botanicals derived from nature.

OWay has phyto-butter-based activators with Illipe and Perilla oils. Its luxurious, creamy texture and naturally derived emollients hydrate and protect the hair and scalp during the color process.

O&M activators have Rice Protein and a Signature Oil Blend of Organic Coconut and Macadamia Oils to deliver moisture, strength, and protection to the hair and scalp.

Q ~ Where are the organic ingredients sourced from?

A ~ OWay is made in Italy on a family farm that grows, harvests, and distills most ingredients, or are from Fair Trade communities, and is good for those who are highly sensitive or allergic.

A ~ O&M is from Australia and has the lowest amount of chemicals, with zero amount of PPD or Resorcinol.

Q ~ What are the main ingredients in your Hair Color lines?

A ~ Oway HColor is a professional organic color formulated with the highest concentrates of organic, biodynamic, and fair trade ingredients, such as Hibiscus extract, that is gentle and has a nourishing, delicate pH.

*Biodynamic Hibiscus is commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine for its powerful antioxidants and vitamins that prevent premature grey, discourage split-end formation, and promote new hair growth.

*Desert Lime is rich in methoxy flavone glycosides – limnocitrin. Glycosides are skin healers, making them natural repairers of the scalp. It also helps in the absorption of vital nutrients needed for healthy hair.
